The Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of British Columbia accepts recertifications and upgrades that are offered by these listed companies when the recertification or upgrade results in the company issuing a current unrestricted certificate in the appropriate course.
Guides should ensure that their level of first aid certification is suitable for the environment in which they will be guiding.
Outfitters should ensure that their guide first aid certification levels are suitable for the environment in which they will be conducting trips.
OFA III certification will be accepted for individuals who have previously taken an Advanced Wilderness First Aid course.
Note: Guides Operating within Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve and Haida Heritage Site are required to hold Wilderness First Aid certification.
